It’s not easy to stay focused.  It’s really easy to get distracted.  I’m much more easily distracted at night.  I feel like I turn into a caveman. All I want to do is eat, watch TV, and fall asleep. It’s a struggle. Especially, when you’re trying to work on your goals from 9-12 am every night. It will be the biggest challenge I have when it comes to completing this goal.

How good are you at staying focused? I’m continuing to work on this skill. That’s one of the reasons I like evaluating other speakers at Toastmasters meetings. It’s also why I try to meditate for 10 minutes a day using Headspace’s free Take 10 series.  I realize I need to work on my concentration so I can control my mind to focus on the goals I want to achieve.

Staying focused is not easy. The good news is that it can be learned. That’s why every night I’m practicing to increase my level of focus by working on what I perceive as my most difficult time for me to focus.
