The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.
Yesterday, I was filling out The Five Minute Journal and the above quote was the quote of the day. This is the issue many of us face. I know I face it on a daily basis.
I’m always thinking about aiming lower. Why? Because lower is easier than higher. A three mile run is easy than six. A page of writing is easier than 750 words. A monthly speech is easier than a weekly speech.
We think we’re doing our selves a favor by setting our goals low. When it’s really a disservice because it doesn’t allow us to aim as high as most of us should.
Where are you aiming?
