Have you ever been afraid to tell someone what you truly want in life? Think about the first person you told, “I love you.” Did they reciprocate your answer with an, “I love you too,” or was there an awkward silence? If the person didn’t say those words back to you then you probably felt awful.
Talking about your goals with someone can be a similar experience. Have you encountered someone who didn’t believe in you? Did you tell them your idea, thought, or big goal? How did they react? Were they supportive or were they cruel? It can feel like someone not returning your, “I love you.”
For the past week, I’ve been thinking about some crazy ridiculous goals. Most of my goal setting to date has been about smaller things. They’ve really been about just getting by, like finding the next job or improving our finances, or simple habits, like writing a daily blog, coding, or giving a weekly speech. Those are good goals but now I’m focusing creating some crazy goals for my life that I hope will help inspire me on a daily basis to achieve some great things.
I don’t want to be ordinary. I don’t want to just get by. That’s not why I do all these things. That’s why I’m creating some giant goals that will help go create the life I imagine.
