It’s been six days since my last post which is the record for consecutive days without a post for the year. I think the record before that was one. For consistency sake, it’s been a good year. I’ve been hitting my writing goal almost everyday with the exception of last week, so what happened? It’s been a mixture of things. Most of it being that I’m planning for the next stage of my career. For over the past year, I’ve been writing and speaking as much as I possibly can. I’ve been writing a blog post almost everyday. For the last few months of 2015 and 2016, I’ve been giving a speech every week. I’m also working on a number of goals I believe will lead to my next big opportunity where I want to convert these interests into my full-time career.
That doesn’t mean I didn’t write at all during the past week. I just didn’t get the opportunity to post any of it. That’s why you’ll be seeing double posts for the next six days to get me back on track to hit my 2016 goal of 365 posts. A few of the topics I’ll be posting on this week will be the movies I watched: Mad Max – Fury Road and The Martian, a great career website I got really into called The Muse, Mr. Rogers and his theme song, my charity runner fundraiser, mismatched socks, how I started running, three acts, why I don’t play the lottery, new Market Musings, Speech of the Week, and why the Kenyans are drinking my beer.
