While taking my son out for the first time, I tried to explain the main principle of Trick or Treating.
Me: If you say, “Trick or Treat,” when come to someone’s house they’ll give you more candy.
After my son takes a bite of his first M&M, he looks at me says, “OOOH,” and then starts running to the next house.
Just like that he understood. Now he’s a full fledge trick or treater. He ended up having a blast.
I’ve been practicing daily gratitude and I try to name one thing I’m grateful for each day. On Halloween, I’m grateful to have this experience with my son.
