Crutch Words

Today, I’m thinking about removing crutch words from my vocabulary.  I’ve been attending regular Toastmasters meetings for about two years.  The meetings have made me aware of my use of crutch words and sounds like so, you know, like, um, and ah.  I use a few at every meeting and I can’t stand it.  It’s also made me pick up on them while watching others talk and it makes me think about how bad they sound coming from me.  Today, I declaring my war against crutch words.  I want to eliminate them from my vocabulary.

Starting now, I’m going to start reducing the number of crutch words I use everday.  I’ll track my progress at my weekly Toastmasters meetings and keep track of my results on a weekly basis.
