Last week, I completed, “How We Got to Now: Six Innovations That Made the Modern World,” by Steven Johnson who gave one of the most popular Ted Talks of all time. There is also a PBS special about this book.
I listened to the audiobook version of the book and it’s a great audiobook. I typical listen to audiobooks on my walk to and from work. I really enjoyed this well researched audiobook. Steven explores the history of six innovation that created the world we live in today. Those innovations were Glass, Cold, Sound, Clean, Time, and Light. Steven talks about how most of these innovations where not by one person but they were really created by many people who learned from each other. Even the lightbulb was not created solely by Thomas Edison.
I though it was a really interesting topic for a book. It’s a perfect audiobook to over again.
