One Sentence Review:
A movie about Stephen Hawking and the evolution of the relationship with his first wife, Jane Hawking.
It was a good movie and I now understand why Eddie Redmayne won the Academy Award for Best Actor because this would have been an easy role to screw up and look ridiculous. Instead, Eddie comes off an a believable suffer of ALS.
The thing that isn’t apparent from the movie until the very end is that Jane Hawking wasn’t subservient housewife the way she’s portrayed in the film. She also held a PhD that I guess was suppose to be portrayed when the film shows Jane Hawking trying to study.
I found the movie a little uneven and it didn’t explain the underlying relationship issues.
