Lately, I’ve been struggling to find the time to workout or at least find the motivation to workout around 5:30AM every morning. At my new job, I no longer have access to a gym for lunch time workouts and I have no motivation or want to workout after work. After work, is my few hours I get to spend with my family so morning workouts are my only option.
That’s why this above clip from Instagram is so inspiring. If training is important to me, if it’s one of the my main daily goals, if I’m going to run the Pittsburgh Half Marathon as a charity runner then I need to commit to more serious training. I need to put in the work if I’m ever going to succeed.
It’s marathon season and I need to get serious about completing my goals for May 2nd. That means I need to train hard if I’m going to complete the marathon in one hour and thirty minutes. I also need to continue to spread the word to raise the additional thousand dollars to reach my #RunForDad Crowdrise fundraising goal of $2,000 for the American Heart Association. These two goals aren’t going to achieve themselves.
If the President of the United States of America has time to train. If the Pope has time to train.
Then I need to make time to train.
