My journey with #750words.com

I’ve been a member of the 750words.com since 02-01-2012.  Even though I’ve struggled to write consistently for over the last two years.  This website has helped me tremendously by motivating to keep coming back to writing and try again.  Finally in the beginning of this year, I made it a goal to complete a montly challenge.  I ended up completing two in a row during the months of January and February.  My streak ended after 83 days in a row on a Friday when I fell asleep on our couch only to wake up at two in the morning to realize I had broken my streak.  I’m not going to lie it was tough and I’ve had a hard time sticking to my goal of writing everyday since losing my streak.  But the enjoyment I get from writing on this site is the reason I’m back on the one month challenge list for July.  I’m back to start a new streak and to eventually break my old record in the month of October.

This site is integral to my process of organizing my day, clearing my mind, and creating new ideas. Each morning, I sit down with no concrete idea of what to write but I usually have a general idea of where I’d like the writing to go. The main goal is to figure out a blog post idea by the end of the 750 words.  Hopefully, I’ve created something or an idea I can use to write a short blog post to help me complete my #100dayproject of writing a daily blog post for the next 100 days.  This blog post makes eight days in a row. I really enjoy the challenge of writing on a daily basis and the way this site allows me to track my performance. Thanks Buster for creating this site.
